If you are using internet explorer and the webpart is not functioning as expected, this could be that you are using compatibility mode. Open Developer Toolbar by pressing F12 and change the Browser Mode to the highest version. This webpart only functions with IE8+. There will be a message in the webpart if there is an issue.
